Moshik Nadav was born in Israel on the 21 of February 1983, in the northern town of Kiryat Shmona. Beginning in his childhood, he was exposed to graphic design and calligraphy by his father, Jacov Nadav - a graphic design and calligraphy artist. When Moshik was 10 years old, he got his first Apple Macintosh computer (IISi) with Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Freehand Software and from then on continued learning the software. After he finished his military service in 2005, he decided to indulge in his true passion for graphic and typeface design and continued this pursuit by studying visual communications at the Avni Institute in Tel Aviv.
In addition to this studies, he started working at a prominent advertising firm in Israel as a graphic artist. After two years at the Avni Institute, Moshik felt he needed to further develop his skills and continued his studies in the Visual Communications program at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. It was at that point he realized he would become a Typographer.
In June 2011, he graduated from the Typography department at Bezalel. Moshik now specializes in typeface design and graphic design based on typography. Since 2005, Moshik has been working as a freelance Graphic Designer. Moshik sees typography as a distilled form of design.
